Kramden Institute provides technology tools and training to bridge the Digital Divide. Kramden has awarded more than 24,000 computers to deserving students across 78 of North Carolina’s 100 counties.
Kramden's Mission: Providing Technology Tools and Training to Bridge the Digital Divide.
Since Kramden's founding in 2003, we have refurbished and awarded over 22,000 computers to deserving students and community members in need of a personal home computer. Kramden also offers an array of educational programs covering everything from basic digital literacy to advanced programming and coding.
Kramden is seeking sources of used/new computer equipment (both desktops and laptops) for use in our various programs. Our programs are aimed at helping all members of the community cross the digital divide, either through technology tools (desktops and laptops) or through our educational programs on how to use computing tools.
- Students in grades 3-12
- Adults in the community who lack tools (computers) or training on how to use those tools
