EAF is dedicated to the reuse of surplus electronic equipment, as opposed to the recycling as waste, as a commitment to the community and environment.
Electronic Access Foundation Inc. (EAF) is an emerging 501 (c)(3) from Neshanic Station, New Jersey. Our mission is to provide donations of working, fully functional surplus computers and electronic equipment to communities in need. By partnering with other agencies, EAF redistributes regenerated electronic equipment such as complete desktop computer systems, laptops, printers, televisions, and DVD players. Thus far, the majority of our surplus electronic equipment has been donated to us by local corporate and nonprofit community partners.
EAF and our donors are dedicated to improving the lives of the economically disadvantaged by providing something that is financially unattainable: high quality computer equipment at little or no cost. Our services are not exclusively surplus electronics however. EAF redistributes many items that are offered to us, including clothing and office furniture.
In addition to providing materials, EAF's mission seeks to eliminate excess environmental waste by regeneration and reuse of products that can be salvaged. Far too commonly, semi-outdated materials are de-manufactured by being stripped of scraps metals and dumped in landfills. We ensure proper e-waste disposal, by sending the obsolete waste to local R2 certified partners .
Electronic Access Foundation (EAF) donates refurbished computers and other fully functional electronics, such as printers, televisions, DVD players, etc., to other local qualified charitable 501(c)(3) organizations. Presently EAF is providing computers to Middle Earth of NJ , Families and Community Together (FACT) of Union, NJ and Hurricane Sandy Resource Center of Toms River. Organizations like these work with hundreds of local individuals and families, redistributing the computers and electronics to those that need them most.
EAF's program will impact the lives of hundreds (eventually thousands) of students and families across the state of New Jersey. Directly and/or indirectly, children and adults will develop the skill sets they need to advance in life. Persons with special needs and senior citizens will no longer have to leave their residence to access the Internet. Our efforts aim to help minimize digital disparities by reaching the underprivileged.
