Donated Computers Help New Jersey Students
A Student Using a Computer at a YCS Computer labYouth Consultation Service (YCS) in Newark, NJ operates a “Technology Leaders of Tomorrow” program to prepare adolescents to become productive and self reliant citizens by providing them with the necessary tools (technical training, career guidance, and one-on-one mentoring) that will allow each one to successfully achieve their future career academic goals, in the field of information technology or computer science.

Computer donations provided by National Cristina Foundation donors have been used to upgrade their computer labs. They also provide computers to a number of other projects that help children, including an after-school program that provided us with this letter:

They wrote that:
On behalf of the participants in the YCS after school program, Youth-In-Action, thank you for the new computer equipment.

The kids were thrilled to see them installed the other day and they look so “updated” as opposed to the old ones we had.

The computers allow the children to spend time learning, complete homework assignments and enjoy some free time.

In part thanks to organizations such as the Cristina Foundation we are able to keep up with technology and give the kids the things they deserve.

Thank you again for thinking of us.

Sincerely,
Kimberley Griffiths
Director, Youth-In-Action/Camp Rainbow
