Camp Birchrock is a non-profit residential summer camp for young boys and girls between the ages of 7 and 15. We offer special programs to help low-income families, and families with special financial needs so that those kids have a chance to experience a summer camp throughout their childhood. During our 5 weeks we usually have about 150 campers come through. 

Because we are a non-profit camp, the bulk of our spending and purchases are done for the specific purpose of giving kids the best experience at camp that is possible. When deciding what to purchase for camp, the decision to buy a new computer always takes a back seat to maintaining and running our campus. One of our computers still runs Windows 95! 

Needless to say when I received the email stating someone was donating a newer computer and I could receive it I was ecstatic! Now computers are available at Camp Birchrock to provide additional opportunities for the economically disadvantaged and at-risk population we serve during camp sessions. 

Campers will be taught productivity software, including Photoshop and other graphic arts applications. Memory albums will be provided to the campers at the end of each session. Campers will also be able create their own music utilizing music productivity software.
