As a small nonprofit on a limited budget, Ethel's Tree of Life very much appreciates the generosity of donors who share their computer equipment and software with us through the National Cristina Foundation.
The computers and software have helped us grow, serve more students, allowed volunteers to accomplish research and paperwork, and have certainly allowed business to flow more smoothly.
Cordelia, who along with building skills that help with independent living, has also built self esteem through her accomplishments in researching resources for programming for other students and through building communication skills in obtaining information to share with other students.
Other students have built resumes, kept portfolios of activities and accomplishments, journals, and have learned more about computer usage with the donated equipment.
Ethel's Tree of Life was recently awarded a contract through the Social Security Administration to become a Ticket To Work Employment Network. The equipment donated through the National Cristina Foundation has helped our organization build capacity and leverage funding to the point where the organization can take a big step forward and offer services as an Employment Network!
Thank you very much to the National Cristina Foundation and to all of the donors who share!
