Cristina Foundation Feedback
Donated Computers Fill Many Needs in New Mexico
Many of the National Cristina Foundation’s partner organizations refurbish donated computers to help a variety of projects and organizations in their community. A good example of that is Computer Based Learning (CBL) in Albuquerque, New Mexico. CBL supports a range of programs from seniors (see photo at right), to a robotics project for elementary school students. They describe another new project in their letter below:

They wrote that:
Since its inception, CBL has distributed over 150 recycled computers, thanks to the new partnership fostered with the National Cristina Foundation. CBL has long been involved in developing new initiatives for the disadvantaged members of our community and has fostered relationships with many of the community churches in the Albuquerque and Rio Rancho area.
Recently CBL joined with the New Mexico Conference of Churches in providing job training to first offenders and incarcerated youth, between the ages of 12 to 22 years of age. Pastor Daniel Erdman, has been instrumental in bringing youth on board in an effort to attain new job skills and daily practices of responsibility. This is exciting to be a part of something that lends itself to both technology and the economic development of our youth. CBL donated the equipment to the south valley church in an effort to reach out to the community and the Safe 2000 program for juvenile offenders.
We hope to have continued success and want to grow the program even more. CBL, is committed to assisting all non-profits in an effort to sustain the use of old but yet functioning computers and their peripherals.
Sincerely,
Cristoval Montano
