For
the past 20 years--where has the business world converged to get
the latest information on technology products and solutions? PC
EXPO - New York's venerable technology trade show. And for the second
year, PC EXPO is part of TECHXNY - a week-long showcase of the most
dynamic business technology players and products in the world. All
of this excitement will take place June 25-27, 2002 at the Jacob
K. Javits Convention Center in New York (www.techxny.com).
PC EXPO's roots date back to the dawn of the
personal computer, and just as the personal computer has evolved,
so too has the EXPO. Today, "PC" stands for Pervasive
Computing, the collection of innovative computing solutions, technologies
and products that surround large and small businesses. This year,
PC EXPO is packed with special events, focused pavilions and exciting
exposition and content partners that will make the conference of
June 25-27 uniquely rich and educational.
The PC EXPO show floor features the latest business
solutions including: PCs and PDAs, security, Internet and wireless
solutions, CRM, infrastructure, storage, networking, and the latest
in Linux. The show floor will also be alive with content, tech trails,
guided tours, customized attendee mapping and the following special
interest pavilions: Solutions for Growing Businesses; Women in Technology;
Financial Technology; Recordable DVD, Storage & High Availability;
Internet Telecom, Microsoft Partners, and Palm Partners.
The educational sessions at TECHXNY, provide
cutting edge content that is critical to successful technology implementation.
Kicking off the conference program and PC EXPO is the Keynote Speaker
Series. This year's impressive line-up of industry pundits include:
Jeff Raikes, Group Vice President, Productivity and Business Services,
Microsoft Corp.; Nicholas M. Donofrio, Senior Vice President, Technology
& Manufacturing, IBM; Richard Pethia, Manager, Networked Systems
Survivability Program, Software Engineering Institute; Jim Balsillie,
Chairman and Co-CEO, Research In Motion; and Gilman Louie, President

The core conference tracks will explore Integration
& Infrastructure in a series of lectures, panels and workshops
and will help attendees assess, implement, and leverage the latest
infrastructure and integration technologies. Another important track
will be Business Continuity & Security that will provide practical
tools to build a secure and stable organization.

Other educational programs will focus on current
topics including Mobile Connections, Small Businesses, and Storage.
Of special interest will be one- and two-day mini-conferences on
Women in Technology, Start-Up World NY, The Best of Novell Brainshare,
Win2000 Boot Camp and Linux 2000.
Additional new highlights include one-on-one
meetings with Doculabs' industry analysts and free "how-to"
sessions from the Recordable DVD Council and TechConnects, in-depth
sessions on a particular technology of interest accompanied by an
exclusive, intimate guided tour through the exhibit floor and Linux2000
will offer two-days of sessions on this open software platform.
TECHXNY/PC EXPO also has two complementary exhibitions
running concurrently with the event. DV Expo is for professionals
using digital video technology and there will also be an exhibition
focusing on Web services, Java, XML and .Net.
A hallmark of PC EXPO and now TECHXNY, is the
association partnerships and pavilions. PC EXPO works with the leading
user groups, industry-specific associations and non-profits to promote
and enhance their activities and provide a public forum for their
services. PC EXPO is proud to be a partner with the National Cristina
Foundation for more than 10 years.
This year's TECHXNY/PC EXPO is the one
technology and educational networking forum that shouldn't be missed.
