Craters and Freighters, a Golden Colorado based expert packaging, crating and shipping service provider, wanted a unique way for its 67 franchise locations across the country to participate in the company’s 20th anniversary celebration. 
 
The company began their campaign on Earth Day, April 22, 2010 and encouraged all franchise locations to promote the concept of technology reuse with their customers.

Diane Gibson, Founder, CEO and President of Craters and Freighters reached out to see if NCF could help with the campaign.  The result was the creation of a dedicated link from each of the 67 franchise websites to a special landing page on NCF’s Donor Submission Form.  Due to this arrangement, NCF was able to track and report the sources, numbers and types of donations generated from each site.
This collaboration proved beneficial in helping Craters and Freighters with their Green Initiative and 20th Anniversary Celebration but also helped NCF demonstrate its ability to create new donation channels that feed directly into the existing donation process.  This concept has since been shared with other interested organizations and plans are in the development to promote this service widely in coming months.
Since the conclusion of the two month campaign, Craters and Freighters has chosen to retain the donation links from all of their sites in an effort to continue to promote Green IT and assist the NCF nonprofit partner organizations throughout the country.
