The United Cerebral Palsy Foundation, an NCF Partner is highlighted in this article from a television show: Extreme Makeover: Home Edition where the Gaudet family was getting their home re-done. After their second oldest son touted the praises of Camp Smile, a camp that hosts children with and without disabilities and adults with disabilities for one week, the television show cut over to the program and featured the special camp. The Gaudet family has a long history of volunteering, such as Easter Seals, another NCF Partner and various volunteering with cleanup in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Because of the airing and the care and volunteerism of the family, the Camp has received a generous donation of $100,000 from CVS Pharmacies, a sponsor of the television show and the Gaudet family has received a larger house and $50,000 for the care of their youngest son who has downs syndrom.

From the article:
Camp SMILE has certainly been a great outlet for the Gaudets. Five years ago, Chris began attending with Peter and started out as a chief trouble shooter for the electronics and computers on-site. Once he settled in, Lowell reassigned him to work with campers as an official counselor... a position he has held ever since.
