The National Center for Women and Information Technology is accepting nominations for high school students who have made strides with computing related achievements and interests.  NCWIT is a "coalition of more than 100 prominent corporations, academic institutions, government agencies, and non-profits working to increase women's participation in information technology (IT)." 
Applicants must be high-school girls who reside in Atlanta, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, or New York City areas.  Online applications must be submitted by April 30, 2008 and follow up documentation by May 2, 2008.  For more in-depth information about the contest and awards, go to: http://www.ncwit.org/pdf/AwardInfoSheetBofA.pdf

Nominations for the NCWIT Award for Aspirations in Computing are made in conjunction with local school educators and administrators, and nominees are selected for their demonstrated, outstanding aptitude and interest in information technology/computing; solid leadership ability; good academic history; and plans for post-secondary education.
