A sixth grader at Victory Baptist School in Sherwood, Arkansas has literally saved his schools' struggling computer system. When Jon Penn's mother, the librarian at the school was given the arduous task of being the IT person shortly before the beginning of school, the computer system was in a bit of a mess. Jon came to the rescue and researched different computer programs. He used the 30 day trial and then talked the school into getting virus protection and a Microsoft program called Fresh Start that gives free software upgrades for schools with donated computers. He became the network manager, technical support, and the one to set up the external drive to backing up the schools most important server.

From the article:
As for Jon, he says he loves testing virtualization software like VMware and wants to obtain “A+ certification” by passing the computer-technician exam by that name developed by trade group CompTIA. “Hopefully, I can do that this summer,” he says.
