Our Work
Our work takes place in collaboration with thousands of charities, schools and public agencies throughout the United States and across the globe. Since our founding in 1984, the National Cristina Foundation's grassroots network continues to expand to assure that technology coming out of its first place of use is put back to work again to help people who would otherwise not have sufficient access to important training tools lead more independent and productive lives.
The National Cristina Foundation works to:
- promote the reuse of technology to support training and greater independence for people in need
- encourage the donation of used computers and related equipment by companies and individuals to assure that both technology and human capital resources are not wasted
- pre-screen members of our grassroots partner network so that placement of donated equipment is matched to where it can be most effectively reused
- provide the charities and schools in our partner network with technology solutions
- promote product stewardship for responsible reuse, thus extending the lifecycle of technology
- promote product stewardship for responsible recycling to support materials recovery for new life use to protect our global environment
We encourage you to click the Voices From the Field and What Donors Have To Say links to learn the benefits gained by those who are the beneficiaries of our collective efforts.
